GUIDING BODIES: Tug-of-War International Federation (TWIF), USA Amateur Tug-of-War Association

SPORT DESCRIPTION:  This event will be showcased and run in conjunction with the Opening Ceremonies. Teams switch ends after each pull. Sitting or lying down will result in disqualification. Footwear must comply with TWIF Rules.  Sole tread depth specifications will be strictly enforced.  Approved shoes will be stamped to indicate their eligibility. Weigh-ins and shoe inspection will take place the morning of the Event.  No metal top-taps or toe plates are permitted. A metal heel plate of maximum thickness of 1/4" (6.5 mm) that is flush on the side and bottom of the heel of the boot is permitted. 6 man team with one non-pulling coach. 4 woman team with one non-pulling coach. 10 person roster. On grass surface.
