CYCLING (CRITERIUM)

Event will be run under permit, and following the rules of USA Cycling.
SPORT DESCRIPTION: This is a timed race around an established criterium course on smooth pavement.
BRACKETING: Fields will be combined if less than 20 entries per category, with maximum field size of 50.

All riders must attend the pre-race briefing (rider's meeting) normally held at the staging area prior to the competition. A protective helmet complying with current safety standards (SNELL ANSI / ASTM Certified), provided by the rider, shall be worn at all times when warming-up or racing. A rider will be disqualified if he/she removes the helmet while on the bike. No clip-ons/aerobars allowed.
NOTE: All participants must hold a valid UCI or USA Cycling license, OR Day of Race license which may be purchased on site for US $10 at check-in.

SPORT DESCRIPTION: The course will be on paved roads with varying terrain and elevations. This is an “open” course. The Centerline Rule will be strictly enforced. Mass start for each heat.
BRACKETING: Fields combined if less than ten in a category, not to exceed 75 total in field.

SPORT DESCRIPTION: The course is straight on asphalt. Distance is 457 meters (1500 feet). A head to head or 4 person heat format will be used. A minimum of two heats per classification. Ties decided by head to head heat.
