SPORT DESCRIPTION:  Each team will play a total of five (5) round robin games within their respective pools. The two (2) teams with the best overall record in each pool will advance to the championship (playoff) round.  Note: this is regarding the 4 pool format.  If there are and insufficient number of teams to fill 4 pools, 8 teams will still advance, with the format to be decided by the event coordinator (for example, if there are only enough teams for 3 pools, then the top 2 teams in each pool will advance, PLUS 2 wild card teams).

 

Additional Fees:  $400 per team of five (four players plus spare).  Payment to be included with Team Captain’s registration.

 

BRACKETING: Bracketing and scheduling is dependant on the number of teams anticipated.  The following are guidelines for the Saskatoon 2008 Can-Am Police Fire Games.

Limit 32 teams unisex open division – draw to be determined at a later date.  Minimum 16 teams required

Open & Senior Men, Open Women - 78 km (6 loops)

Competitors must supply approved hard shell helmets and only multi-geared racing bikes.  The course will be on rural roads/highways constructed of asphalt and cement.

SPORT DESCRIPTION:  The Sport Technical Committee is very pleased to have the golf event hosted at these three prestigious courses. Shotgun start each day. This is a three-day event that includes a 54- hole singles event.  A briefing will be conducted each morning before the shotgun start.  Note: The event coordinator reserves the right to re-establish the handicap classification spread in each division and delete or add divisions. This event will be limited to 144 competitors and will fill early so register as soon as possible.  Medals will be awarded for both Gross and Net scores in the individual event.  A competitor cannot win a medal in both gross and net scores.  They will be awarded the highest medal.

 

Each competitor must have proof of a certified handicap i.e.:  RCGA handicap card or GHIN number at the time of the event.  If a competitor is unable to obtain a certified handicap from their local professional then the following will apply.  Obtain 10, dated, witnessed and attested scorecards with your score.  Please ensure that the rating and slope are on the scorecard.  Submit these at the time of your arrival when checking in at the host hotel Davidson Matyczuk, Assistant Golf Professional, The Willows, (dmatyczuk@willows.com).   He will then provide you with a certified handicap.  For purposes of Registration now, enter into the Division of your handicap or what it is anticipated to be.    

 

ADDITIONAL FEES: $215 (Cdn funds) for all three rounds to be paid with registration.

SPORT DESCRIPTION:  All players supply own equipment that must comply with safety requirements as specified in the HC rulebook.  Safety equipment including helmets and facemasks must be worn at all times. This is a "No Check", No Slap" tournament. No "two line" passes allowed.  Pool play depending on number of teams entered followed by a single elimination Tournament.  20 person teams with one non-playing coach/manager.  The Open Division will be limited to 18 teams. The 35yrs & Over Division will be limited to 14 teams. A women’s Division may be added if sufficient interest is shown.

 

BRACKETING:  Modified round robin with top two teams advancing to a single elimination tournament.  Four games guaranteed.
