SPORT
DESCRIPTION:
Each boat must have a number, and all athletes must
wear competitor numbers. Numbers will be provided.
The Trainer K-1 must have a minimum width of 45cm
measured outside the cockpit. This minimum measurement must continue for 40cm
along the length of the cockpit. The boats used in the Trainer K-1 event must be from
the following approved list of ICF trainer K-1’s, in order that the length meets the ICF dimension
requirements: Plastex – marathon master, Simon River – laser or Polaris, Kirton
– Talisman or Tercel, Kape – Trainer K-1 and Nelo Razor K-1.
Measuring - The length of the canoe or kayak is measured between
the extremes of the stem and bow. Stem-bands or other protection of stem and
bow, if any, are to be included. The trainer kayak is measured at the widest
point of the cockpit, measured from the outside of the boat.
Weighing - Boat classes that have weight restrictions must meet
the weight requirement at the completion of the race. There will be boat
control in effect, weighing boats and measuring Trainer K-1s and canoes for
medal winners. Competitors are responsible to ensure their boat meets the
weight requirements. Any additional weight must be fixed to the boat. Pre-race
weighing and weights will be available.
