SPORT DESCRIPTION:  An event combining cross country running and pistol shooting for a total of 3 miles and 24 rounds. The event will begin with a one mile run to the range where twelve rounds (unsupported) will be shot at 25 yards, then another one mile run, another twelve rounds (unsupported) and finish with third mile run.  Duty weapon or approved handgun.  Must supply own ammunition. 

 

Team members must be declared prior to the individual matches.  Teams consist of two people. Biathlon silhouette targets will be utilized and supplied at the venue.

 

Trigger - Revolvers may have both single and double action and must be capable of lifting 2.5 lbs. (1.135 kg) when gun is cocked. Semi automatic pistols must have a trigger pull of at least 3.5 pounds (triggers shall be weighed).

 

Sights - Fixed or adjustable may be used, no shrouds, sight covers, or ramp covers will be

allowed.

 

Barrel - Not to exceed six inches (15.24 cm).

 

Eye and ear protection are mandatory and must be supplied by competitor.  Competitor must

supply own ammunition (in accordance with NRA rules). Competitors must be "qualified" (i.e. some type of formal training for safety reasons) with their firearm and familiar with range rules and safety.

 

BRACKETING:  Team members must compete in the individual competition, as individual scores apply to team score. Competitors may enter only one Team event.

SPORT DESCRIPTION:

Each boat must have a number, and all athletes must wear competitor numbers. Numbers will be provided.

The Trainer K-1 must have a minimum width of 45cm measured outside the cockpit. This minimum measurement must continue for 40cm along the length of the cockpit. The boats used in the Trainer K-1 event must be from the following approved list of ICF trainer K-1’s, in order that  the length meets the ICF dimension requirements: Plastex – marathon master, Simon River – laser or Polaris, Kirton – Talisman or Tercel, Kape – Trainer K-1 and Nelo Razor K-1.

 

Measuring - The length of the canoe or kayak is measured between the extremes of the stem and bow. Stem-bands or other protection of stem and bow, if any, are to be included. The trainer kayak is measured at the widest point of the cockpit, measured from the outside of the boat.

 

Weighing - Boat classes that have weight restrictions must meet the weight requirement at the completion of the race. There will be boat control in effect, weighing boats and measuring Trainer K-1s and canoes for medal winners. Competitors are responsible to ensure their boat meets the weight requirements. Any additional weight must be fixed to the boat. Pre-race weighing and weights will be available.

 

ADDITIONAL FEES: 

Competitors are encouraged to bring their own boats. Competitors will be able to hire canoes and kayaks during the Games but are expected to bring their own paddles. A fee structure will be in place. Competitors will be able to rent boats on a per seat, per race basis. We encourage renters to sign up early to ensure availability of boats at the Games. Boat rentals will be made available, please contact the event coordinators for rental information.
