4.      Entry Information

 

§         The registration fee will be $100.00 CDN, which includes your first sport/event. Each additional sport/event will be $5.00 CDN.

 

Note:  All federal and provincial taxes are applicable.  Non-Canadian residents may be eligible for a Goods and Services Tax (GST) exemption.  For more information, please visit the Government of Canada website at www.cra-arc.gc.ca/visitors/.

 

§         All registration forms must be postmarked by June 13, 2008 and all associated fees (in Canadian funds only) must accompany the registration form.  Credit Cards (Visa and MasterCard only), Checks and Money Orders are accepted.

 

§         A $25.00 CDN late registration fee will be assessed to all entries postmarked after June 13th, 2008.

 

Reminder: Each participant is reminded that availability is based upon a first come first serve basis, dependent on the individual event.  To ensure acceptance in a sport/event each participant should send their registration and entry forms in as early as possible.

 

Late Registration and Entry

 

Late Registration will be allowed after June 13th, 2008, providing the Event Coordinator and the Sports Chairman approve the late registration twenty-four (24) hours prior to the competition.  A late fee of $25.00 CDN will be assessed as described in the Registration Structure above.     

 

5.      Policy on Withdrawals & Refunds

 

Refunds will be given if requested, in writing, by the individual participant marked as follows:

The amount of the refund will be based on the following fees and will cover all associated administrative costs:

 

§         Prior to March 28, 2008              100% Refund

§         March 29 to April 30, 2008          $25 CDN fee

§         May 1 to June 13, 2008               $50 CDN fee

From June 13, 2008 through to competition, NO REFUNDS will be given unless the HOST cancels the event.  This applies to event registration and entry fees.

 

ENTRY -  INFORMATION

Inquiries concerning specific sports or events should be directed to the Event Coordinator or by E-mailing the Sports Chairman.

 

All contact information pertaining to specific Event Coordinators is contained within the registration book in the area dealing with the individual event.

 

6.      Game Registration

 

Early Registration

 

Early registration will be held at the Delta Bessborough located at 601 Spadina Crescent East, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada from 1200 hrs to 1600 hrs on Saturday, July 12th, 2008 and 1200 hrs to 1700 hrs on Sunday, July 13th, 2008.

 

Daily Registration

 

§         Daily Registration will be held at the Delta Bessborough from 0700 hrs to 1900 hrs from Monday, July 14th, 2008 to Saturday, July 19th, 2008

 

§         Registration on Sunday, July 20th, 2008 will be limited to 0700 hrs to

1000 hrs.

Additional Fees

 

Additional fees will be applicable for the following sporting events:

 

§         Archery 3-D - $10 per person Range Fee (to be paid on site) 

§         Bowling - $ 4.25 per person per game (to be paid on site)

§         Golf green fees -$215 per person for all 3 rounds and steak dinner following final round of golf (to be paid with registration)

§         Curling - $400 for team of five (four players and one alternate) (to be paid with registration of Team Captain)

§         Rifle Large Bore - $10 per person (to be paid on site) 

§         Rifle Small Bore - $10 per person (to be paid on site)

§         Skeet - $23.00 per 100 targets (to be paid on site)

§         Sporting Clays - $23.00 per 100 targets (to be paid on site)

§         Trapshooting - $23.00 per 100 targets (to be paid on site)

§         Canine Association Seminar and Championship Dog Trials Registration - $100 (to be paid with registration)

§         Canine Association Banquet (Additional Spousal ticket) - $25 (to be paid with Registration)

 
Merchandise

 

Saskatoon 2008 Can-Am Police-Fire Games souvenirs and T-shirts will be sold at the Athletes Plaza located in the Bessborough Gardens, located at the Delta Bessborough Hotel. Items for sale can be purchased during daily registration hours.

Airport Transportation Services

 

The primary host hotel, the Delta Bessborough and secondary hotel, the Sheraton Cavalier are both located approximately 15 minutes from the airport.  There are a number of transportation options available from the John G. Diefenbaker International Airport including taxi service, car rental services, limousine and personal transportation services.
